David McMillan
David McMillan was a childhood school friend of Elliot Landry in Pine Hollow, Alabama. During years when Elliot experienced bullying, social isolation, and abuse at home, David treated him without commenting on his food, movement, body, or stutter and did not make him feel burdensome.

David offered Elliot quiet, consistent company. He treated him as a friend rather than as a curiosity or a problem and remained present during periods when Sean’s abuse was especially severe.
